Project Overview

The BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) program aims to attract foreign entrepreneurs with professional knowledge and strong business experience to establish and manage their own businesses in British Columbia. This program nominates qualified entrepreneurs for permanent residence in BC to support innovation and economic growth in the province, and to help create diversity in both urban and rural communities across BC.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Personal net worth of 600,000 CAD
  2. Must be a business owner or have relevant management experience; if no management experience, a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education is required
  3. English proficiency of CLB4 or higher
  4. Establish a new eligible business or purchase and improve an existing business
  5. Personal investment of at least 200,000 CAD into the business
  6. Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  7. Must reside anywhere in BC, and in 75% of the time, the distance between residential address and business location must not exceed 50 km

Application Process

  1. Conduct an in-person exploratory visit and prepare a compliant business plan
  2. Submit the business plan and wait for approval
  3. Apply for a work permit
  4. Enter Canada on a work permit and operate the business for at least one year
  5. Submit provincial nomination application and wait for approval
  6. Submit federal permanent residence application
  7. Obtain permanent residency
