Empowering Women, Empowering Community
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, the sister companies under Shaws Global—Shaws Immigration, Canada Shaws Consulting, and Shaws Education—joined forces with the Giving Truck to deliver personalized care packages and a warm lunch to women supported by the Atira Women’s Resource Society.
What began as a simple idea to give back grew into an event with meaningful impact. Nearly 100 women received lunch and thoughtfully assembled care packages created with compassion and intention.
The day was filled with connection and joy. Many employees shared how much they enjoyed participating, describing the experience as one filled with love, community, and genuine camaraderie. One team member expressed how fulfilling it was to assemble the care packages and write personal notes, calling it a “true labour of love.”
International Women’s Day serves as an important reminder to uplift women’s voices and experiences, and to give back in ways that strengthen our communities. Shaws Global is grateful for the opportunity to support this initiative and hopes the event created a positive and lasting impact.
