Role Description

Shaws Immigration is looking for an experienced Technical SEO & WordPress Specialist to support website SEO/GEO optimization and organic traffic growth. This is a remote, contract role and candidates must be based in the Philippines.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently optimize website projects across the full stack, including server deployment, WordPress optimization, website performance optimization, SEO implementation, and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies.

This is a technical-focused SEO role, not a content publishing or basic marketing position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in SEO and WordPress-related work
• Background in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
• Ability to independently build, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including website audits, keyword research, on-page optimization, content optimization, and internal linking strategies
• Proficient in WordPress backend (themes, plugins, configuration, and optimization)
• Experience with Elementor page builder
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix WordPress issues (bugs, plugin conflicts, theme problems)
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed, caching, CDN, image optimization)
• Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console setup and management
• Experience with conversion and event tracking implementation
• Ability to manage hosting environments (VPS/cloud/web hosting) independently
• Knowledge of domain management, DNS configuration, SSL certificates, and basic server maintenance
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience implementing schema markup and structured data
• Familiarity with CDN and website security tools is an asset
• Basic understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI search visibility (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
• Strong problem-solving skills, fast learner, and ability to work independently
