Project Overview

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative is designed for French-speaking foreign nationals with eligible ties to the province who want to settle permanently in New Brunswick. This program seeks individuals with the skills, education, and work experience needed to strengthen the province’s economy.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Aged 19 or above
  2. Intend to live in New Brunswick (NB)
  3. Minimum high school education or above
  4. At least 1 year of full-time or part-time work experience in the past 10 years
  5. French proficiency of at least NCLC 5 in all skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
  6. Minimum score of 65 points required
  7. Connection to New Brunswick, such as an exploratory visit or a job offer

Application Process

  2. Submit Expression of Interest (EOI)
  3. Receive Invitation to Apply (ITA)
  4. Submit full application and pay fees
  5. Application review
  6. Receive Provincial Nomination
  7. Obtain Federal Permanent Resident (PR) Card (Maple Card)
